DIY: Felt Chrysanthemum Flower

I was super excited to try out making my first DIY and later realized it really does entail lots of work! Whew! But the end product is all worth it! I hope you can make your own Felt Chrysanthemum through this post. Enjoy!

Materials Needed:
Felt cloth
Scissors
Thread and Needle for sewing
Ruler and Pencil for measuring

Materials Needed

Steps:
1. Cut out a 2.5" circle from your felt cloth. This will serve as the base of your flower. You can use smaller circles if you want your flowers smaller.

2. Cut out 35-40 pieces 1 1/2" squares and 15 pieces 1 1/4" squares from your felt cloth.

3. Cut your square to petal shapes. See above image.

4. Fold lower portion of petal and sew it into the base circle. Use the big petals for the outer layer. See below image:

5. Repeat Step 4 until you fill up the outer layer completely. Repeat same steps inside using the same big petals.

6. For the last inner layer, repeat step 4 using the small petals.

7. For the center of the flower, you can roll a piece of felt cloth then sew it in the middle. Or you may also use pearls or other accessories for it.

Voila! You have now completed your Felt Chrysanthemum Flower! So pretty isn't it? Can't wait to make another type of felt flower, so watch out for my next post.
