Marriage License Requirements in Quezon City

We got our Marriage License from Quezon City and below are the requirements needed to get one.

1. Certified True Copy of Birth Certificate or Baptismal Certificate of both applicants.
    If widowed, certified true copy of death certificate or demise spouse.
    If previous marriage was annulled, copy of Court Decision and Absolute Decree of Finality from the
    court.
2. Community Tax Certificates/Cedula of both applicants
3. One photo ID (colored or black and white) of each applicant
4. 25 yrs. old and above - attend Family Planning only in Heath Department office scheduled everyday from 1pm to 5pm. It is adviceable that you get yourself enlisted a day before you plan to attend.
5. 24 yrs. old and below - attend Family Planning and Counseling - Health Department office, Social Services and Development Department (SSDD)
6. CENOMAR - Certificate of No Marriage from NSO

Application Form ------ Php   50.00
Filing Fee -------------- Php 100.00
Marriage License ------ Php 100.00

If applicant is a Foreigner, requirements are:
1. Photocopy of Passport (showing data and date of arrival)
2. Certificate of LEGAL CAPACITY TO MARRY issued by their respective diplomatic or consular officials
3. If Divorced, copy of Final Decree of Absolute Divorce
4. Certificate of Family Planning & Marriage Counseling & Responsible Parenthood

Notes:
>> Parents' Consent (for 18-20 year old)
>> Parents' Advice (for 21-24 year old)
>> One of the applicant must be a resident of the place where they will apply for the marriage license
>> The marriage license will be issued on the 11th day after the 10-day posting period upon submission of the application for marriage license.
>> License expires 120 days from the date license was issued.

    Hi i have some questions. first in getting a cenomar, does it allow only a photo copy of the birth certifcate? then second.. upon the date of the marriage , how many days can we get our marriage certificate or contract?
    Me and my hubby does only have a 2 weeks vacation, does 2 weeks is enough?

    Please I need an answer ASAP.

      Hi sis,

      You can find more info on how to get a cenomar here:

      There's no need to present for birth certificate to get a cenomar and you can also get your cenomar online and it will be delivered in 2-3 days but it be much more expensive though.

      As for applying for the Marriage Certificate, make sure you sign up your names in the Family planning seminar a day or two before you actually be applying for the certificate. Go to the city hall early in the morning so that you can attend the seminar in the afternoon. The marriage certificate will be available on the 11th day after applying so I guess 2 weeks is not enough =(

      Cenomar doesn't have an expiry but if you are using it for Marriage license make sure that it is not more than 6 months old. =)

    Hi gud eve pwede ba kming mgprocess ng mga papers jan s qc pero sa province kami mgppksal kc dto kmi ngaun s qc nkatira. Pwede ba un ung papers nmin if ok na taz e forward nmin sa province nmin? My ganun po ba? Salamat need answer ASAP

      Yes pwede po. That' what we did. Got our papers in QC and got married in Zamboanga City. :)

      Hello. No, they do not require pre-cana to apply for a marriage license.

      I believe they require NSO na. But confirm with them to be sure.
